MU Hoops

Let's face it, I never thought I'd be a basketball girlfriend.  I have never liked or followed basketball... and I especially couldn't handle the boredom of watching it on TV.  But here I am, 3 years into a relationship with a basketball addict.  The Coach plays, coaches, watches, obsesses over, reads about, dreams about, etc.... basketball.  He had two games this weekend and played really well.  I've actually found myself enjoying watching him play! (and I'm slowly learning basketball rules... it's nuts!)

Here is a video an MU student put together of some highlights for the weekend...
watch for my sweet boy, #12... he's in it quite a lot!

My weekend has been great. I got a new hoodie, and apparently the rest of the world did too Here's proof:
(sorry for the bad quality photos, i forgot my camera this weekend and had to take phone pics!)

Now, everyone please pray for The Coach... he hurt is back during his game yesterday and he's a limpy gimpy and I'm terribly worried!  I have been trying to talk him into switching sports, to something less contact... I don't see what's wrong with golf...or bowling...or poker! ;)

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend... happy happy Monday!!!

You and your boyfriend are so cute together! I hope the Coach feels better soon--I'm sure having a hurt back is tough!

Aww Erin, I love how much we have in common! I could've cared less about basketball 6.5 years ago. And then I met this boy. And he loved basketball. In college he played basketball for his fraternity, he played basketball for an inter-mural team, we attended every single one of our university's basketball games (both the girls's and guys' games), and we watched the Illini play every single game that was televised. We ate, drank and slept basketball. I hated it the first year we were dating, but just kind of accepted that it came with dating an athlete. It wasn't long, though, before I realized that I knew as much about basketball as he did and I got just as much into the games as he did. So random, but so good. :)
